And, that’s exactly what the cast of Hairspray Live! did when they took on the Mannequin Challenge! On Thursday, most of the show’s stars held perfect poses for nearly two minutes in their take on the viral trend.

Rather than playing Rae Sremmurd‘s song Black Beatles in the background like most clips have done, the NBC musical aptly opted to use their cast’s recording of You Can’t Stop The Beat!
The AH-mazing video shows off stars Derek Hough, Shahadi Wright, Dove Cameron, Garrett Clayton, Harvey Fierstein, Martin Short, Ephraim Sykes, newcomer Maddie Baillio, and the ensemble cast frozen in the midst of rehearsals.
Ariana Grande‘s pop star presence was only represented by her character photo displayed on one of the monitors, but that’s probably because the singer didn’t even start rehearsals until Friday, according to her Snapchat story.
