Hayden Panettiere appears to be moving forward (again) with on-again, off-again boyfriend Brian Hickerson, much to the chagrin of those around her.
But judging by her reported Thanksgiving activities, it looks like she missed out on one very important thing with the holiday late last month: family time!
We know, not everybody has a good relationship with their fam, but we’re not talking about a rude uncle here — this is her four-year-old daughter Kaya she’s missing out on!

Hickerson, who locked down his Instagram account after past scrutiny following his domestic violence arrest, posted pics this past weekend showing himself hanging alongside the Nashville starlet at home with a bunch of friends. Along with the pics, which showed what appeared to be a pretty conventional holiday hangout, he wrote:
“What a great Thanksgiving weekend with some good people”
There was just one thing missing: Kaya! Nowhere on social media or elsewhere is there any evidence Hayden saw her daughter at all over the holiday, and The Blast reports the adorable little girl is most likely still back in Ukraine with Hayden’s ex-fiancé, pop Wladimir Klitschko.
And while Hayden has previously committed a lot of time to flying out there and trying to have a relationship with Kaya, she apparently had better things to do this holiday.
Still, now that Hickerson is apparently back in the picture again, it’s creating some serious tension between Hayden’s family life (and previous partner) and her apparent desire to move forward with her controversial new man.
As we previously reported back in November, Klitschko seriously doesn’t like Hickerson — to the point where it’s affecting the guys’ mutual interactions with Panettiere, and potentially Kaya, too. An insider previously shared some dirt about the whole situation, saying:
“Vlad was so in love with Hayden that he looks the other way with regard to some things, but Brian has tested Vlad’s patience and kindness … Vlad thinks that Brian is a user and overall bad guy, and believes [Hickerson] is controlling Hayden and enabling all of her bad habits.”
Well then… Nothing like a little interpersonal drama right around the holidays!
