H&M's Internet Models Are Computer Generated

Creepy!
H&M has revealed the models on their website aren’t real — at least from the neck down.
The fast fashion retailer was forced to come clean about their computer generated models after a Norwegian blog noticed all the bodies were identical as well as the poses. The only thing different is the skin tone, which they altered, and poorly attached heads.
H&M’s PR rep Hacan Andersson tried to do damage control by talking to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. He explained:

“It’s not a real body, it is completely virtual and made ├óΓé¼ΓÇ╣├óΓé¼ΓÇ╣the computer. We take pictures of the clothes on a doll [mannequin] that stands in the shop, and then create the human appearance with a program on your computer…It├óΓé¼Γäós not about ideals or to show off a perfect body, we are doing this to show off the garments. This is done for all garments, not just underwear. It applies to both women├óΓé¼Γäós and men├óΓé¼Γäós clothing.├óΓé¼┬¥”

That doesn’t make any sense.
If they’re only doing it to “show off the clothes” why not photograph them on the mannequin?
