Issa Rae is the new face of Covergirl!!
The star/producer/writer of HBO‘s Insecure confirmed the news with a beautiful Instagram post on Tuesday!

Sharing a shot from the ad campaign, the 32-year-old posted:

I remember being an awkward black girl in high school, reading the pages of my favorite magazines, casually flipping through @COVERGIRL ads, singing their slogan in my head. Never EVER in my life did I imagine I’d be one. I am SO honored and SO excited for what├óΓé¼Γäós to come. Covergirl sounds just as excited about their new spokeswoman, as they gushed about Issa on social media as well:

And in an official statement, the Los Angeles starlet revealed how proud she is of this new partnership:
