Jacob Elordi may be letting loose and having fun with Kendall Jenner, but behind the scenes, his team is reportedly scrambling over the thought of the infamous, so-called “Kardashian curse” affecting him.
As we’ve been following, the Oscar-nominated actor sparked romance with Kenny over Coachella weekend when they were spotted hanging out together. Since then, their romance has been confirmed with multiple public outings together, including a double date with Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, and a bikini-clad beach trip in Hawaii.
But while it may all like a bit of lighthearted fun for the Euphoria star, his team fears his career may be impacted by the ever-so-talked-about Kardashian curse! On Tuesday, an insider told Rob Shuter for his Naughty But Nice Substack:
“People around Jacob are nervous. The issue isn’t the vacation itself — it’s becoming too closely tied to the Kardashian-Jenner world.”

Those in his circle are apparently looking at the trajectory of Timothée’s career as a warning sign. As we’ve covered, there have been concerns surrounding the Marty Supreme star ever since he started dating Kylie in 2023 that his celebrity is becoming larger — and therefore more of the focal point of his career — than his artistic abilities because of his proximity to the KarJenner world:
“Studios hate distractions. There are still people who think Timothée’s campaign lost momentum because the conversation became more about celebrity culture than acting.”
Well, to be fair, any problems Timmy’s faced recently has been his own loose lips with those opera and ballet comments HE made — not Kylie!
Still, Jacob’s team does NOT want any bad energy for him — especially as his name is being circled in the race for who will be cast as the next international man of mystery James Bond:
“Bond producers want mystery, sophistication, and global appeal. They don’t want nonstop tabloid coverage overshadowing the actor.”
Oof… Imagine that? Jacob loses out on a shot at playing bond because of who he’s dating? YIKES.
This one seems more clear, though. If they want a mysterious actor for the role, then yeah, someone who’s dating a KarJenner can’t stay mysterious for long. That’s for sure. But that wouldn’t be Kenny’s fault. Jacob decides how to spend his time, so it’s his choice!
And that’s probably why the source noted no one is blaming Kendall directly — but rather the tabloids that come with the KarJenner namesake:
“Jacob is one of Hollywood’s most in-demand young actors. His team wants the focus on his career — not his vacation photos.”
