Sometimes you’ve got to get out of the house and clear your head…
Amid her ongoing split — and increasingly publicly contentious divorce — from estranged husband Kyle Newman, Black Summer actress Jaime King was spotted out and about in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon. She was with a mystery man, the identity of whom is unclear beyond him apparently being a “friend,” according to a source close to the actress.

As you can see in the pics published by People (click HERE), the 41-year-old actress appears somewhat caught off guard after being spotted hanging out with this mystery man. It’s unclear what’s going down, though, as the pair was out and about doing their thing innocently enough in the middle of the day on Friday.
The public appearance follows up on the heels of a request for an emergency order filed on Friday by Newman, as well. In the order, the director and producer accused his estranged wife of sustained drug and alcohol abuse amid the pair’s contentious (and very public) divorce filing. The split itself also included a temporary domestic violence restraining order first filed by King herself, as well as an emergency motion related to child custody and visitation.
As we’ve been tracking, after Newman’s request laid heavy into King’s allegedly “chronic” addiction issues and how they were supposedly affecting the parenting of 6-year-old James Knight and 4-year-old Leo Thames, the actress’ rep released a savage statement in response:
“This is another vicious, failed attempt of Kyle to continue his abuse of Jaime and manipulate the court system. Today Kyle was denied all requests for emergency orders and the judge granted Jaime shared legal custody of their two children. The temporary domestic violence restraining order remains in place to protect Jaime.”
Thus far, all emergency order requests filed to this point have been denied. For now, both kids will remain with Newman at their Pennsylvania home, where he’s staying with family amid the coronavirus crisis. After that (hopefully) subsides soon, a non-emergency hearing is scheduled to take place to determine where these custody questions go next.

Regardless, it sounds like there’s no shortage of drama between these two formerly happily married celebs… sucks to see their kids will almost certainly inevitably be in the middle of it one way or another, it’d seem, as this weaves its way through pre-divorce motions and all that. Ugh!! Guess there’s no way to reconcile at this point, is there??
