James Kennedy’s exes are weighing in on his arrest!
As we previously reported, the Vanderpump Rules alum was arrested for domestic violence on Tuesday night after an eyewitness called the police when they allegedly saw him grab a woman during an argument at his home. It is unknown if the woman involved in the incident was his girlfriend, Ally Lewber. However, they were together earlier that night at Kathy Hilton’s annual holiday party.

A source told People the couple spent most of the night apart and barely showed any affection toward each other. According to the outlet, the DJ was allegedly “acting super aggressive all night long” at the event:
“He was acting so erratic, running back and forth to the bar and body-checking people along the way. He appeared inebriated. Spent the evening mostly alone but when he did speak to people, he appeared irritated and rude.”
Fans know James has struggled with alcohol abuse over the years. Could he have fallen off the wagon again??
James and Ally haven’t addressed the domestic violence arrest. But you know who did react to it? His ex-girlfriend, Kristen Doute. She kept it simple and wrote on Instagram Stories Thursday while re-sharing a post from a Bravo fan account with the TMZ headline about the arrest:
“FINALLY.”
Whoa…
The Valley star did not explain the post. However, VPR fans know how tumultuous their relationship was. When the two dated in 2024, they had many volatile moments, including when Kristin hit James at Scheana Shay’s first wedding. James also spit on her door during an intense fight. Yikes. But did more happen behind the scenes? We hope not, but this post from Kristen makes us feel there is more to the story about their romance…
And Kristen wasn’t the only one with something to say about the situation. Rachel Leviss, who was engaged to James until December 2021, was not shocked by the news. Her attorneys, Mark Geragos and Bryan Freedman, told TMZ:
“This news is, unfortunately, not surprising. Rachel’s lawsuit describes, in significant detail, Mr. Kennedy’s long history of erratic, violent behavior and substance abuse.”
The lawyers then slammed NBC and Evolution, the production company for VPR, claiming they knew about James’ “troubling behavior all along.” That is concerning, if this is true. The network has not responded to this accusation at this time.
