One of America’s royal couples has a cute love story to declare!! Make way!!

As you know, Beyoncé and Jay Z are absolutely adorable together. Kanye West even gives them some of his own spotlight in his raps!

But what you may not know is how he went about pursuing the Queen Bey when they first began their romance. And let us just tell you right now — some tissue may be necessary!

In the November 2013 issue of Vanity Fair, he reveals:

“We were just beginning to try to date each other [when they were both featured on the 2001 music cover of Vanity Fair]. Well, you know, you├óΓé¼Γäóve got to try first. You got to dazzle… wine and dine. [Had I been a gas station attendant and not a famous rapper], if [I was] as cool as I am, yes. But she├óΓé¼Γäós a charming Southern girl, you know, she├óΓé¼Γäós not impressed. But I would have definitely had to be this cool.”

OMG!!! Are they presh or what!?!?!

Jay even commented on a line he wrote about Bey. In his music he says “she was a good girl ’til she knew me,” and he confirms it for VF by saying “nah, she├óΓé¼Γäós gangsta now.”
