When Jeff Francoeur first broke into Major League Baseball back in 2005, many were convinced his canon of an arm and his power would make him one of baseball’s brightest stars!
However, here we are 9 years later and he’s pretty much the laughingstock of his own team!
The outfielder was the subject of a VERY elaborate prank by his teammates on the El Paso Chihuahuas when they convinced him their pitcher Jorge Reyes was deaf!
It all started out simply enough with a few jokes here and there, but when they realized Jeff was actually falling for it, they decided to step up their game!
Before they knew it, Jorge was riding on airplanes without his headphones in, his wife was getting in on the lie, and they even paid a waitress at a restaurant to play along!
Sadly, Jeff had NO IDEA he was being punk’d, but his reaction when he found out was priceless!
