Who needs award shows when you have your Friends?

Instead of attending the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday night, Jennifer Aniston opted for a more lowkey evening with two of her best friends: Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.

Sisters ?” – Isla Fisher

“❤️❤️❤️” – Michelle Pfeiffer

“The Ha Ha sisterhood ?” – Whitney Cummings

“This’ll tithe me over the next six months until Friends is streaming again” – Derek Blasberg

As evidenced by the previous pics we’ve seen from their hangouts, it looks like they always have a great time together! Could they possibly be chatting about the rumored reunion special??

Fans of the iconic series are likely aware, Friends left Netflix just ahead of the New Year and will be available on HBO Max come May when the new streaming service launches. Aside from resuming our binges of the sitcom, the arrival of the new service is rumored to bring a new unscripted reunion special, including Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer.

The idea of a reboot or revival has been floated around for quite some time, though it has been denounced on more than one occasion by cast members and creators. In March 2019, co-creator and executive producer Marta Kauffman shared with Rolling Stone why we won’t be getting a reboot like so many other shows:

“There are several reasons. One, the show is about a time in your life when your friends are your family. It’s not that time anymore. All we’d be doing is putting those six actors back together, but the heart of the show would be gone. Two, I don’t know what good it does us. The show is doing just fine, people love it. (A reunion) could only disappoint.”

However, she has now reportedly signed onto the new project along with co-creator David Crane in addition to the full core cast. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but we can hope!
