We’ve got ourselves a good ole’ fashioned courthouse conspiracy theory here, y’all!
Jennifer Lawrence and her beau Cooke Maroney are at the center of it all, having supposedly secretly gotten married on Monday at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau at NYC’s City Hall! A since-deleted tweet from an eagle-eyed fan confirmed J.Law’s presence there, and surreptitious pics snapped of her holding suspicious docs now has everyone wondering!

OK, so let’s catch you up: this all started on Monday afternoon, when the American Hustle star and her art dealer fiancé (pictured in the inset, above, from 2012) were spotted by another City Hall-goer. The unnamed observer posted — and later deleted (?!) — a tweet about the sighting, writing (below):
“When you go get your marriage license and Jennifer Lawrence walks by to tie the knot before your eyes. Yeah, kids, City Hall is COOL. The place to go!”
LOLz! That’s actually a pretty funny tweet! Informative, too, because it got Page Six photogs on the case, and they ended up confirming the fan’s claim by snapping up their own pics of J.Law and Maroney outside the courthouse. (You can see those pics HERE, if you’re curious.)
But, like, wait… did J.Law just pull a Justin Bieber on everyone?!?!
Here’s where things get really interesting…
The pair not only had “quite a few official-looking papers in hand,” according to E! News, but more speculation landed when insiders noticed who was with them: celeb photographer Mark Seliger. Known worldwide for shooting Vanity Fair and GQ covers, as well as VF‘s annual Oscars party studio, Seliger is a major get for special events and projects, and it makes you wonder what on earth he’d be doing with Jen on a random Monday at a courthouse… unless he’s secretly documenting the couple’s nuptials???

Exactly one month ago, the high-end photog posted this pic to his Instagram page, too, showing off J.Law (below) while directly referencing the fact that the two have been working together on something:
Hmmm… the conspiracy continues!
Whatever the case may be with the visit to the courthouse, though, one thing remains clear: the Hunger Games actress is seriously in love! It was just a few months ago on Catt Sadler‘s popular podcast NAKED where the 29-year-old opened up about her strong feelings for her man — and marriage — by saying (below):
“I met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully and you know, he’s my best friend. I feel very honored to become a Maroney. I want to legally bind him to me forever and, fortunately, the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You find your favorite person on the planet, you’re like, ‘You can’t leave.’ So, I wanted to take up on that offer.”

For someone as low-key and laid back as J.Law, it’s super cute to know she’s been stung so hard by the love bug!
