Jennifer Lopez and her fierceness are making their return to film!!!
Finally!!!
After a hiatus to focus on music and family, Mizzzz Lopez will be back on the big screen in The 33.
The 33 tells the real-life story of 33 Chilean miners who ended up trapped half a mile beneath the earth’s surface following an August 2010 cave-in. After a spectacular effort by Chile’s government and drilling experts, the men were rescued 69 days later- where all were found alive!!!
This film will be Lopez’s first big-screen role since starring in the action thriller Parker, opposite Jason Statham.
Alongside J.Lo, Antonio Banderas will be playing Mario Sepulveda, the miner nicknamed “Super Mario,” who was essentially the media spokesperson for the group.
No talk yet on Lopez’s character specifically, but we can’t wait to see her tackle what’s sure to be an emotional role!!!
Production will reportedly begin in Chile this Fall, and we can totally dig it.
