This is a story we won’t be able to shake off for quite some time.
A 25-year-old mother has been found guilty of kicking her beautiful 4-year-old son to death because she was convinced he was gay due to how he walked and talked.
We’re so GLAD she’s going away!
Zachary Dutro-Boggess died at the age of four in 2012 at the hands of his mother, Jessica Dutro. Her boyfriend, Brian Canady, 25, pleaded guilty to manslaughter AND assault, and also agreed to testify against the mother in court!
During his plea deal, he apparently changed his story from taking the full blame. He claimed he witnessed Zach’s mom kick and stomp on the poor child as well, when at first it was thought Brian was the only one dishing out the physical side of the punishments!
That’s when it came to light that she was saying things about Zach’s ‘gay-like’ demeanor, such as:
‘He walks and talks like it. Ugh.’
The details get even more gruesome past the excuses this awful mother gave: the doc who examined little Zachary testified that contents of his ripped bowels leaked into his body for at least two days before he died.
It was only when Zachary collapsed that the mom called 911 to report that her son was unconscious at the Good Neighbor Center, a family homeless shelter.
The abuse was NOT contained to a single incident, and was actually part of a long history. He had been struck on many occasions for ‘not listening’ and ‘not being good’ as well.
Zachary wasn’t the only one suffering, either: he had a 3-year-old brother, who was also seen with scrapes on his face. It wasn’t until after the brother was examined that they found five broken ribs in various stages of healing.
There was also his 7-year-old sister who had bruises on her back, chest, hips and behind.
Jessica remained stoic while the verdict was handed down, even though sentencing has yet to happen for these two terrible adults.
Despicable.
