Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope are back on after a messy year!
If you didn’t know, the Melissa & Joey star’s wife of two years filed for divorce in August amid rumors of an extramarital affair on his end. Joey denied it, but things got even muddier after he claimed the reason for the divorce was because he realized “there was no way [his] two eldest daughters were ever going to be accepted” by Samantha.
In addition to baby Dylan Rose, who Joey shares with Samantha, he also has 14-year-old Charleston and 18-year-old Liberty with his ex-wife Chandie Yawn-Nelson.
So, it came as a HUGE surprise earlier this month when the 48-year-old took to Instagram to share loved-up photos with Samantha announcing their reconciliation. He wrote:
“I am beyond grateful I am beyond blessedI am galaxies beyond thankful My heart is so full”

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight this week, the Blossom star cryptically owned up to the “terrible mistakes” he’s made in his relationship with the 37-year-old:
“I’m very thankful. It’s been great. You know, you make some terrible mistakes and it just feels great to have a second chance to get everything right. So I love her to death and I’m very thankful for that.”
He added that it’s been “brutal” to work through things so publicly, adding:
“You make some serious mistakes and then you don’t handle things correctly and there’s a lot of pressure. And Like I said, going through it publicly doesn’t make it any easier. And then you make some more bad decisions and at the end of the day, life is what happens outside of the cameras and when your heart is hurting just to have an opportunity to get it right this time with her. I’m really thankful. She’s amazing and I love her to death.”
The Celebrity Big Brother alum noted marriage “isn’t perfect” and that you have to “work at it every day and you have to make it a priority.” However, a lot of things “make it very difficult.”
He’s certainly a pro at saying a lot without saying much at all! Ha! Like, WHAT exactly are the “mistakes” he’s owning up to?? The cheating rumors? Blasting Samantha for not accepting his daughters?!
The Brotherly Love star added:
“At the end of the day it’s about who you want to grow old with. After all this is done who do you want to be on that porch with sipping that coffee? You want to be there with your best friend, and she really is my best friend. We really have an amazing relationship when all the chatter is gone and it’s just the two of us.”

As we know, Joey was rumored to have had an affair with co-star Melina Alves, who also denied as much. But in the wake of Joey and Samantha’s reconciliation, she said she was “surprised” to hear the news. She told People earlier this month:
“While these situations are always multifaceted, I’d like to keep the details of it and my friendship with Joey private. As far as Joey and Sam reuniting and reconciling, it came as a surprise to me as everyone else, and if it’s true, I wish them all the love.”
