Wow, JoJo Siwa really left some destruction in her wake!
The Karma singer shocked Celebrity Big Brother UK viewers with her eyebrow-raising relationship with Chris Hughes. Sure, yes, because she went into the house identifying as a lesbian. But also because she started the experience WITH A PARTNER on the outside! A partner she promptly dumped as soon as she got an opportunity at the show’s after party.
JoJo has since tried to spin the split as being more amicable and chill now. But it does not sound like it on the other side.
Kath Ebbs, who was the first to reveal the breakup in an emotional TikTok, has now given their first interview since all this went down. And it does NOT sound nearly so hunky dory as JoJo would like us all to think. For starters, Kath tells Betches in the candid convo that this is the “most depressed I’ve been in six years, for real.” Oh no…

The most upsetting thing is the fans who are on JoJo’s side, celebrating her potential… whatever it is with Chris… and choosing to bully Kath online! They lamented:
“There have been so many times in the past month when I’ve thought about disappearing when this all feels way too overwhelming. The person who used to be my support system has not only vanished but turned against me and allowed this behavior to continue towards me. Everyone’s talking about me, but not to me. I feel voiceless, and that’s a really big trigger for me because of things that I’ve grown up with. People are calling me names. People are making assumptions about my character. And when you’re in it, it feels like it’s never going to go away.”
Kath wonders if a lot of the hate might be coming from CBB viewers who would rather see JoJo with a man — because they saw her lesbian relationship as invalid:
“I don’t know, I could be wrong, but my reflection for people is it because that person was in a sapphic relationship that you don’t see it having the same validity as a heterosexual straight couple.”
Oof. We hate that they’re probably right! At least for some of the mob out there. Ugh. Kath mused:
“I’m telling you right now, if Chris Hughes had a girlfriend or if he was even just casually seeing someone on the outside and was acting like that, I don’t know what kind of conversation we would be having. I believe there is a small percentage of the conversation that is influenced by people’s either unconscious or conscious homophobia.”
Oh, everyone would ABSOLUTELY be talking about him the way we’ve been talking about JoJo here. If this wasn’t cheating, it was certainly line-crossing at the very least. Emotional cheating. And the cuddling? We mean… come on! What does Kath think?
“I think my boundaries were crossed in a way that felt like a betrayal of trust repeatedly around affection. I believe she made a lapse in judgment, and I was obviously collateral in that, and I wish that didn’t happen because it was incredibly hurtful. But I do not believe that she had malicious intent in that interaction.”
That is… pretty forgiving tbh. But honestly didn’t they just describe a lot of cheating?? Only in an overly elaborate, if erudite, way? We mean… “a betrayal of trust repeatedly around affection”?
Explaining how the reality TV relationship took shape, Kath recalled it seemed fine at first, especially as Chris was defending JoJo from homophobic Mickey Rourke:
“I genuinely just thought that because of the Mickey Rourke thing, she had kind of trauma bonded a bit to Chris as he was the only one that stood up for her and didn’t gaslight her. So I thought that was a trauma bond that had kind of gone too far because of the environment in which they were in.”
Sure… but “too far” is the key phrase here. Way too far, right? We mean… JoJo sent Kath packing at the end of a couple weeks in the CBB house, let’s not forget that part!
Not only did Kath get dumped, their now ex-partner pressured them into taking down their post about it!
“She promised me if I deleted the TikTok video, she would no longer talk about me. And she didn’t hold up that promise.”
Oof! That’s a very different version of events than JoJo saying they had a talk and “cleared it up.” JoJo made it sound like Kath had seen the error of their ways in posting in the first place — and clearly that was the goal. Sorry, but what a disturbingly canny bit of manipulation on her part!
And while Kath won’t just come out and say JoJo cheated, they will agree they were played:
“I feel a bit like I’ve been this pawn that’s been moved around in this story by Big Brother, by JoJo, by her PR team, by the tabloids. And I feel really beaten around by that because it’s just not something I asked for. And I think at the end of the day, the boring headline is: I’m just heartbroken, and I’ve just gone through a really messy breakup that I didn’t see coming, and I’m in shock, and I’m picking up the pieces of my love life and of my life in that.”
