Jonathan Groff has PROOF Lea Michele can read!
For years now, the Glee alum has been haunted by a persistent rumor that she can’t read — and now her former co-star and bestie is getting questioned about it too! In an episode of Tactful Pettiness with Cody Rigsby and Andrew Chappelle out earlier this month, the Frozen star was asked if he’s seen Lea read. He burst out laughing, wondering:
“I have seen her read. Oh my God. LOL. Wait, do you really think she can’t read?”

The hosts agreed that they didn’t believe the rumor, but they still wanted to get his two cents. Referencing the performers’ past working together, Andrew asked:
“Did you see her reading the music stand? Like, was she reading her lines, or did she come in off book?”
Amid a laughing fit, the actor settled the speculation once and for all, insisting:
“That’s a great example. No, she did not come in off book. Oh my god, that’s so funny.”
