The Guy Who Confessed To JonBenét Ramsey's Murder Is MISSING!

JonBenet Ramsey Murder Suspect Gary Oliva Confessed Missing

Well, this is ominous…

One of the big theories in the unsolved JonBenét Ramsey murder case is that she was killed accidentally by pedophile Gary Oliva. And the convict has just… well, disappeared.

For a bit of background… Oliva was one of the suspects in the heinous crime and arguably has the most circumstantial evidence pointing to him. More than the poor girl’s family, who were the focus of most of the Boulder PD‘s investigation. He’s a convicted sex offender who just got out of prison after serving eight years on child pornography charges. So he definitely fits the bill for someone who would sexually assault a 6-year-old.

As for evidence? He was in the neighborhood in 1996 when JonBenét was killed and even attended a candlelight vigil for her after the murder. But the real lead was something that went unexplored for years…

The Phone Call

Michael Vail, an old classmate, claimed Oliva called him the day JonBenét’s body was found, crying:

“I hurt a little girl.”

Vail told The US Sun he told cops right away back then. But they didn’t follow up on it until 2002 when they finally decided to look at the case differently, AKA not just assume it was her parents.

The Arrest

Oliva was never charged with anything connected to JonBenét, but he has been serving time. In 2016 he was busted with 695 images of CSAM on his phone. Perhaps even more horrifying? He had 335 images related to JonBenét’s murder, including ones of her dead body. The police report detailed:

“Some were regular photographs of her likely found online. Of those photographs, 19 were images of JonBenét’s autopsy like from photographs that had previously leaked to the press in years past. There were also many photographs of what appear to be shrines to JonBenét Ramsey. It is unknown where these shrines are located or if they were created by Oliva or not.”

So was he the killer? Or just some crazy pedo obsessed with the murder? Well, there’s a lot more…

The Confession

Back in 2019 he wrote his old pal Michael from prison — and confessed to her murder! Oliva claimed it was an accident in one letter, writing:

“I never loved anyone like I did JonBenét and yet I let her slip and her head bashed in half and I watched her die. It was an accident. Please believe me. She was not like the other kids.”

In another letter, he wrote:

“JonBenét completely changed me and removed all evil from me. Just one look at her beautiful face, her glowing beautiful skin, and her divine God-body, I realized I was wrong to kill other kids. Yet by accident, she died and it was my fault.”

Seems like he should maybe be the main suspect, right? Maybe?

The Disappearance

That brings us to Wednesday’s shocking twist. Oliva was housed in the Arkansas Valley Correction Facility in Ordway, Colorado. In January, after serving eight years, he was released. He’s considered a “transient” now. He’s required to check in with the Denver cops once a month. A detective explained to DailyMail.com:

“Gary must physically come into the police department every month and sign a document stating that he is a transient and listing the area or shelter where he stays. But there is no way to be certain that he spends time or nights at the shelter. He very well could be lying to us; it’s happened in the past with other sex offenders.”

The 60-year-old had been staying in the Silver Spur motel in East Colfax, as of February. But according to records obtained by TMZ he has not checked in since then!

HE’S GONE?!? What the hell? How did the cops lose him??

DailyMail‘s source says they didn’t, that he checked in earlier this month. But TMZ says there isn’t a record of it. The one thing everyone agrees on, the last anyone knows about where he actually was for sure was that motel. A resident told DM:

“He was strange even by the standards of the tenants at the motel. He talked to himself a lot… Then one day we all realized he was gone, and we have not seen him since. It’s like he disappeared off the face of the earth.”

JFC. That is so scary! A man like that just out in the world?? We can think of few things more terrifying…

Obviously the timing is really interesting here. Netflix just released their documentary Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey? Part of that doc is dedicated to the Gary Oliva theory and how strange it is that he was eliminated as a suspect. It’s almost like he got the heads up the doc was coming out and made sure he wasn’t around to be questioned more… even more suspicious, right?

Damn. What do YOU think, Perezcious readers??
