Julianne Hough truly made Mother’s Day an epic one for her mom Marriann Hough! The 31-year-old dancer took to Instagram on Sunday and revealed she bought her mother a brand new house for the special occasion. AH-mazing!!

The DWTS alum shared pictures and videos of herself delivering the grand gesture to her momma, and in one clip, she’s heard asking:
“Is this your house, mom?
To which Marriann responds with delight:
“It’s my house! It could not be better.”

Marriann’s new pad is quaintly located on a hill, complete with a gorgeous tree in her front yard, rocking chairs, and a white picket fence. The yelps of excitement and the way the two hugged each other tightly after the big reveal tell us this present was surely appreciated! The starlet explained why this gift was the perfect expression of love for her momma, writing in her caption:
“My Mother has given given given….. its now her time to receive ?? Happy Mother’s Day Momma! ?”
And Jules’ brother, Derek Hough, also wrote in support of their mom, commenting:
“Love you momma ❤️ The care and selflessness you have shown for so many years is inspiring. You’re a light. Love you”
Despite the fact that they’re quarantining separately right now, the professional dancer’s husband Brooks Laich also celebrated his mother-in-law’s special gift, writing:
“This is the best thing ever!!”

It’s great to see everyone in good spirits, all things considered. As we mentioned, Julianne has been riding solo (for the most part) over the past few weeks while she and Brooks wait out the coronavirus pandemic apart. Hough recently told People of her “daily practices and routines” in Los Angeles:
“I’ve actually felt very grounded and peaceful and calm.”
She explained how this time has allowed her to reevaluate what’s important to her, adding:
“This time has really given me space to think about the things that are important in my life, my day-to-day interactions. I thrive off hustle and creation and energy, but this has given me the space to actually take an hour — which I never have done before — to make a meal for lunch, and go outside and breathe in the air. I just feel more grounded and at peace. Time and space is in its own weird place right now, but I feel like I can breathe.”
Meanwhile, the former NHL player is enjoying a calm and sex-free stint away from his wife in the countryside of Idaho:
“I’m in Idaho, my wife is in LA, so not much of that [sex] going on here… I would probably lose my sex drive when stress ramps up, that’s just what I feel in this situation.”
We wonder what will happen when they’re finally reunited! But until then, Jules can focus on helping her momma get settled in the new home!
