Justin Baldoni is not going down without a fight!
As we’ve been reporting, following the bombshell sexual harassment allegations from Blake Lively, the It Ends With Us director/star filed a libel lawsuit against The New York Times over an article about her complaint. He shut down several of her accusations, even alleging she was the one “who engaged in a calculated smear campaign” — not him. Justin even provided receipts to back his claims and revealed plans to drop a whole lot more in a countersuit soon!

Her attorneys have since reacted over the past week, criticizing how Justin and his team’s “response to the lawsuit has been to launch more attacks against Ms. Lively since her filing.” It’s an extremely messy situation! And it’s not over yet! Because the Jane the Virgin alum has now fired back at her latest statement! His attorney Bryan Freedman told People on Tuesday:
“It is painfully ironic that Blake Lively is accusing Justin Baldoni of weaponizing the media when her own team orchestrated this vicious attack by sending The New York Times grossly edited documents prior to even filing the complaint.”
The gloves are coming off moving forward. According to Freedman, they plan to release every piece of “evidence” he has to prove Blake was the problem all along:
“We are releasing all of the evidence which will show a pattern of bullying and threats to take over the movie. None of this will come as a surprise because consistent with her past behavior Blake Lively used other people to communicate those threats and bully her way to get whatever she wanted. We have all the receipts and more.”
Whoa…
He already released a bunch of texts, so what else is there? Do they have witnesses?! Guess we’ll have to wait and find out. Thoughts, Perezcious readers? Sound OFF!
