Earlier this year, Kanye West threw some shade in Justin Timberlake‘s direction after the release of his single Suit & Tie. Apparently Yeezy did like what he heard, because after listening to JT new tune, Kanye commented:
“Man, I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f*cking with that Suit & Tie.”
Justin is thick-skinned but he decided to throw a jab back at Kanye while hosting SNL a few weeks later. During his performance of Suit & Tie, he changed up his lyrics a bit and sang the new line:
“My hits so sick/Got rappers acting dramatic.”
Well at the VMAs on Sunday, Timberlake and West FINALLY came face-to-face backstage! And SHIZ went down!
The two mega music stars actually had an HOUR-LONG sit-down to settle their differences and squash their beef!
Wowza!!!
Justin spoke about their peace accord yesterday, saying:
“It was one of them things where I love it, in a way, because at the end of the day it’s just music,” he said. “I love the record, I love Suit & Tie. It reminds me of the music I grew up listening to. I respect his opinion because I think he’s a genius. But I don’t share that opinion. It’s just not that big a deal.”
The two are burying the hatchet so deep, they might even collaborate together on a track in the near future! JT explained how he asked Kanye about working together. Yeezy response:
“The best way I know how to do that is just for us to sit down and play music.”
