Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney Are BFF Business Partners... But Kaitlin Olson Has Only Met Blake Lively Twice

If two married guys become BFFs, it’s pretty much a lock that there will be a ton of double dates, right?? Well, that’s not the case for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

The Deadpool star and the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator are pretty well-documented besties. From buying a whole damn soccer team together to spoof b-day music videos, these two dudes seem pretty inseparable the past couple years. So one wouldn’t be out of line to assume their wives Blake Lively and Kaitlin Olson have also become friendly, right? We mean one would assume they’ve spent some time together, right? WRONG. They’ve literally met twice.

During the High Potential premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Us Weekly asked Kaitlin about her husband and creative collaborator’s friendship with the Marvel hero, and if she and Blake are equally close. And she responded with complete honesty:

“Everyone’s very, very busy… I’ve met Blake twice.”

Whoa, that’s kinda crazy, right?? We mean, their husbands meet up regularly for Wrexham AFC games and business. They seem to spend time together socially, too — are the ladies not tagging along??

The Mick star noted Blake and Ryan “live on a different coast” than she and her husband, so that could be a reason for her lack of connection with the It Ends with Us star… But distance doesn’t seem to hold the guys back from carving out time for each other. And it sounds like Kaitlin is ready to do the same for Blake. She added:

“I would love to hang out with them both more often. I love Ryan.”

OK, so she spends some time with Ryan. Uh-huh. It sounds like three out of four people here are pretty down for friendship…

To be fair, Blake hasn’t had a chance to respond. But we did hear recently that Selena Gomez “feels like an outsider” around her longtime bestie Taylor Swift now amid the singer’s recent selection of friends… And you know who she’s been hanging out a LOT with?? Blake! Maybe the It Ends With Us star is just a little more particular about who she hangs out with?
