Tension between Janet Jackson and Kamala Harris may actually run WAY deeper than the 2024 presidential election.
As we’ve been following, the Scream singer met some major heat after spreading the right-wing rumor that Kamala is not Black during an interview with The Guardian over the weekend. During the chat, she also outright said she doesn’t know if America is ready for its first female president, telling the outlet:
“I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t want to answer that because I really, truthfully, don’t know. I think either way it goes is going to be mayhem.”
For someone who’s historically celebrated and uplifted marginalized groups, it’s definitely odd to hear her taking this stance in 2024!
We’ve since heard that her brother Randy Jackson, who also serves as her manager, is a “Trump supporter and conspiracy theorist,” and that the 58-year-old “listens” to him and also “peddle[s] in conspiracy theories,” according to Page Six. But does the Jackson beef with Kamala actually stem from a 20-year-old interview??

In the wake of all this Janet mess, footage has resurfaced of the presidential candidate speaking about Michael Jackson’s child molestation case in 2004. The then-San Francisco Deputy City Attorney says:
“In general, the child will be able to recall and recollect with some detail the incident, and that is persuasive to a jury, even if it is the only testimony that is available.”
That didn’t sound very pro-Michael, did it?? Watch the clip for yourself (below):
The late King of Pop went on to be acquitted in 2005, but could Kamala’s comments be the root of all this drama??
