Don’t be shocked, but it turns out some people aren’t feeling Kanye West as a fashion designer!
We know, we know — it’s crazy!

Kelly Cutrone, fashion publicist and founder of People’s Revolution PR firm, recently got VERY candid about her thoughts on Yeezy’s latest collaboration with Adidas Originals.
She said:
“I’m not into his fashion thing. I think he’s fine as a rapper. I think he’s a joke as a fashion designer. I mean, it’s not, he’s not legit. Have you seen the product? Didn’t he have his own line in London, which was a disaster that he spent $10 million to do, that no one wore?”
She added that she thinks Kanye should stick to music:
“I just think that you should stay focused at what you’re good at. Just because you’re a good rapper doesn’t mean you’re going to be a good fashion designer. I mean, we’ve seen that over and over. Sean John is a really successful line, but you know, no one in the fashion industry is waking up and going, ├óΓé¼╦£Hey did you get that ├óΓé¼┬ª did you like, trade up your Moncler for your Sean John?’ No. Nobody’s saying that.”
But the 49-year-old isn’t alone in her opinion!
Fern Mallis, former CFDA executive director and the creator of New York Fashion Week, echoed Kelly’s sentiments:
“I’m kind of over Kanye. I mean, I’m not a fan of his music, and the attitude and agenda is not my style.”
Ouch!
No word on how Kanye feels about any of this, though he probably doesn’t care much.
After all, he’s got Anna Wintour practically feeding out of his hand, Riccardo Tisci is one of his besties, and Ralph Lauren just lovingly touched his cheek on Thursday!
Still, we’d love for him to reply with one of his classic Kanyeisms! Ha!
