Kanye West is working hard to repair damaged relationships with his famous family, including one with mother-in-law Kris Jenner!
On Tuesday, the Jesus Is King rapper took to Twitter and seemingly tried to make nice with Kim Kardashian West‘s momma by sharing praise for her taste in music. He wrote:
“My mother in law Kris Jenner … makes the best music playlist”
Well, that’s quite the departure from his previous explosive remarks late last month where he referred to the momager as “Kris Jong-Un,” a play on the name of North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un — and fans refused to let him forget it!

Immediately after the artist’s tweet went up, ‘Ye’s nickname began trending on the social media platform. Many users simply could not get over Yeezy’s old jab, which happened while he was allegedly going through a rather serious and public bipolar episode. He’s already openly apologized to his 39-year-old wife, and now, this!

Whew, that’s a lot to take in!
Remember, in that particular rant, West also stated Kris and her boyfriend Corey Gamble would no longer be allowed around his children because they supposedly tried to lock him up. Shifting from that aggressive stance to this supportive statement was enough to give us all whiplash and question his intentions! That initial comment also created a huge rift within the musician’s marriage and it’s something the couple and their whole family is said to be trying to work through right now.
Should we take the tweet as a good sign then? Maybe! There’s still the matter of Kanye’s failing 2020 presidential campaign and the stress it’s putting on his personal life to consider, but one thing at a time! A source told People that his recent getaway with KKW and their kids North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm did wonders for everyone:
“They had a good family week in the Dominican Republic. They are continuing the family vacation in Colorado. Kim and Kanye are getting along. They both seem much happier.”
