Kanye West spared no expense for his over-the-top proposal to Kim Kardashian. But the price tag on their engagement ceremony could have climbed even higher had Lana Del Rey actually agreed to perform!
According to those close to Kanye and Kim, the millionaire hip-hop mogul requested Lana sing for his sweetheart while he asked her to marry him on the field at AT&T Park in San Francisco!
The insider claims:
“Lana politely declined, and didn├óΓé¼Γäót give any reason for not being able to perform. It was a very firm no from Lana and her camp. Kanye did try to push it, but didn├óΓé¼Γäót get anywhere.”
Plan B was to have an orchestra serenade Kimmy K while Kanye got down on one knee. We hear ‘Ye was much happier with how it all turned out!
Apparently Kim is a HUGE Lana Del Rey fan, which is why Yeezy tried to hire her for this special night. Sources say Kanye actually told Kim how the Young And Beautiful singer refused to show up, explaining:
“Kim was bummed that Lana didn├óΓé¼Γäót perform for the big event, but she is still a huge fan. She just loved that Kanye tried to make it happen. Kim is jokingly saying Lana will want to perform at their wedding.”
Hmm…
We think Lana’s wedding singing days might be over, Kim. But good luck trying to book her!
