The latest season of Dancing With The Stars may have finally come to an end, but there’s definitely no shortage of drama surrounding the champs!
Since they hoisted the Mirror Ball Trophy together, plenty of rumors have been swirling about a potential romance between Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy!
Well earlier this week, Val Chmerkovskiy claimed the relationship between his brother and his partner was strictly plutonic, and now Maks’ ex-fiancee and DWTS pro Karina Smirnoff is sharing somewhat similar sentiments, saying the whole thing is just an act!
She explains:
“When you’re on the dance floor…you want to create that story, you want to create something where people believe that what you demonstrated was real. And they were able to do that.”
Way to rain on our parade!
Of course, Maks and Meryl aren’t the first DWTS duo to face romance rumors, as there was PLENTY of speculation surrounding James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd this season as well!
However, are we gonna completely gloss over the fact that Maksim said he wanted to make ice-dancing babies with Meryl after the finale?? If these two are acting, then they deserve an Emmy!
