Karl Lagerfeld Could Face Legal Action For Discriminating Against Curvy Models!

Models of color aren’t the only ones facing discrimination on runways!
There’s also a stigma against models with curves, Karl Lagerfeld is one of the more outspoken designers who believes “no one wants to see curvy women on the catwalk”.
The Chanel designer continued his crusade against those who are overweight while making an appearance on TV earlier this month.
Karl complained that France├óΓé¼Γäós healthcare system was flailing due to “all the illnesses contracted by people who are too fat.”
Oh, so he’s a doctor now, too?
After hearing his comments, a French association of curvy women called Belle, Ronde, Sexy et je m├óΓé¼Γäóassume (Pretty, curvy, sexy and fine with it) filed an official complaint against the him with the prosecutor’s office in Saintes, France.
They accused Karl of “defamatory and discriminatory comments”, adding:

“We’re fed up. Many young girls are insecure and hearing such comments is terrible for them. Today it’s him who insults us and tomorrow who will it be?”

In addition to wanting to “respond and confront” Lagerfeld, the group is also pushing for an awareness campaign in schools “so that people understand that curves are often an illness or genetic, and not due to a poor diet.”
Sounds like Karl finally hit a nerve with the wrong group of people!
