Kat Graham is leaving her skivvies at home for the American Music Awards on Sunday — and not for fear of panty lines! That’s right, the 26-year-old will #GoCommando4ACause in honor of World Toilet Day.
The Vampire Diaries star EXCLUSIVELY shared with us all the deets about her new album and her partnership with Cottonelle to help raise awareness about global sanitation.
We found it shocking that one in three (AKA 2.5 billion) people don’t have access to a toilet. That’s totally something to lose your undies over!

So here’s the deal: For every mention of the hashtag (#GoCommando4ACause) on social media, the Kimberly-Clark Corporation will donate $1 to Water For People — an organization Miz Graham feels very passionate about.
Her debut, nineties-inspired album Roxbury Drive is getting a lot of buzz right now, because quite frankly, there’s nothing else like it. Using the momentum from both her acting and singing careers, the From The Top executive producer can really affect change:
“I was already excited to go to the AMAs obviously to promote Roxbury Drive and to promote Secrets but now with Cottonelle I really feel like I’m going there for an even bigger cause. I’m excited that my fans and I are going to help raise a lot of money, really just by tweeting.”
She added:
“Those are my favorite parts of my life. When you take something where you feel it’s all about you, and you take your position and the attention you’re getting and you turn everyone’s focuses on something bigger than you. So now I’m even more excited to go to the AMAs than I could have imagined.”
So whether you’re a celebrity or a fan, Kat wants you to throw caution to the wind and let it all hang out:
“I am going to be definitely recruiting people, besides my fans, I’m going to be announcing that I’m going commando before the AMAs and I’m going to be asking other celebrities to do the same … I’m going to be honest, most celebrities are probably not wearing underwear on the carpet anyway.”
