Kate Upton SLAMS Victoria's Secret Fashion Show As A 'Snoozefest'!

kate upton calls out victoria's secret fashion show

Kate Upton has something to say to Victoria’s Secret!

While appearing on Sunday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, the 27-year-old made her feelings clear about rumors the lingerie brand will not be holding their annual fashion show moving forward.

When answering a question from a caller about the iconic show, she bluntly replied:

“You know what? We’re sick of seeing the same body type. You have to be body inclusive now. Every woman needs to be represented, otherwise, it’s a snoozefest.”

Ch-ch-check it out (below)!

Upton has had battles with the brand in the past when VS casting director Sophia Neophitou said they would “never use her” after seeing her 2012 Sports Illustrated cover, which catapulted her rise to fame.

As if that comment wasn’t bad enough, Neophitou continued (below):

“She’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”

Ouch!!

Kate has a right to still hold a grudge, but instead of learning from their mistakes, the brand has only taken more tumbles since then.

VS has yet to respond to comments made by model Shanina Shaik, who claims the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is canceled for the coming year in an effort to rebrand:

“Unfortunately, the Victoria’s Secret show won’t be happening this year. It’s something I’m not used to because every year around this time I’m training like an angel. But I’m sure in the future something will happen, which I’m pretty sure about. I’m sure they’re trying to work on branding and new ways to do the show, because it’s the best show in the world.”

Working on their “branding” is an understatement considering the backlash faced after Ed Razek, Chief Marketing Officer of L Brands, VS’ parent company, told Vogue in November he wouldn’t hire any trans people to walk the runway of the iconic fashion show. UGH!!

But recently, transgender model Valentina Sampaio recently announced her milestone gig, so maybe they are really are trying to make things more inclusive? Or just trying to cover a total blunder of an interview?

In light of even MORE controversy, the company also faced an open letter signed by over 100 models calling for them to better protect their talent from sexual harassment and abuse by joining the RESPECT Program, a Model Alliance initiative. It promotes safety in the workplace, which requires employers to follow a strict code of conduct.

What do U think about what Kate had to say, Perezcious readers? Is it time they FINALLY make some real changes, or are you ready to say “bye” all together? Sound OFF (below) in the comments with all of your thoughts!!
