Rihanna & Kendall Jenner Among Celebs Reacting To Insensitive Victoria's Secret Comments About Diversity

Rihanna broke boundaries with her diverse Savage x Fenty show in September, but unfortunately Victoria’s Secret is just not there yet.
Ed Razek, Chief Marketing Officer of L Brands (the parent company of Victoria’s Secret) has been in hot water since telling Vogue he wouldn’t hire transgender models or curvy women to walk the runway.

He not only seems to believe that trans people can’t be a fantasy:

“Shouldn’t you have transsexuals in the show? No. No, I don’t think we should. Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy. It’s a 42-minute entertainment special.”

But he also thinks that since “no one had any interest in it” when they pursued doing a plus-size show in 2000, things should stay the same 18 years later. We beg to differ, Ed!
He tried to “apologize,” in a statement but to many it still came across just as tone deaf as the initial interview:

RiRi has appeared to show support for those speaking out against his comments, by liking an Instagram post that shamed VS and praised her inclusive show.
She’s not the only one! Kendall Jenner, who walked in the annual show for a fourth time last week appeared to throw some shade by posting a pic to her IG story of a graphic that read ‘Celebrate Trans Women,’ standing up for individuals including Caitlyn Jenner, who opened up about her transition in 2015.
Yikes, we hope the brand gets with the times ASAP!!
