The franchise that kicked off Vin Diesel‘s career is getting another addition, a third film in the Riddick series.
Having been on Battlestar Galactica, Katee Sackhoff knows how to do science fiction — which could be one of the reasons she’s been chosen to play opposite Vin Diesel for part three of the chronicles!
She’ll be playing Dayl, a nordic mercenary after Diesel’s Riddick. We also hear that Karl Urban has signed back on for Vaako!
Here’s the synposis:
Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
Sounds like a lot of tiring work for Riddick!
The first one was regarded as one of the better science fiction films in the past decade, but the second one was met with lukewarm reviews.
Lots of people even think a part three isn’t necessary.
