The American Music Awards is starting to sound like a purrrfect evening!!!
It has been announced that Katy Perry will not only be performing on the AMAs stage, but she will supply the roaring musical opening the sure-to-be fabulous awards show on November 24!!!!
The songstress will put the engagement rumors aside to belt out another lovely live rendition of Unconditionally.
It’s like we’re getting a trophy before they even announce the winners! LOLz!
But what does the uber talent have up her pretty little sleeve for us??!
Katy spilled:
“You are kind of like setting the tone for everyone in the evening, so you always bring out the big guns in the beginning. I always seem to be flying in on something or coming out of something. I like to entertain the kids, I really do.”

We don’t know how it could get better than her shiny, giant maypole at the EMAs, but we expect nothing short of jaw-dropping fabulousity from the pop superstar!!!
