Kayla Nicole is subtly shading her famous ex over the dogs they shared when they were in a relationship.
She and Travis Kelce adopted two dogs over the course of their five year relationship. Before they called it off for good in 2022, the pair got pups named Chauncey and Rambo. See a pic of them (below):

After the breakup, though, the sports journalist said she got sole ownership of their furry friends. She opened up about it on The Pre-Game podcast Friday, in which her guest Nazanin Mandi said she and her ex husband each got one of their cats in the divorce. This prompted Kayla to ask:
“Now how did y’all come to that decision? I have dogs with the previous partner, and I got both the dogs.”
She went on to say she took “full responsibility” for the two pups in 2022 after the breakup, before she shared her recent vet expenses:
“I had a dog bill the other day that was $2,000. And I love my kids, but how did ya’ll come to that conclusion because that’s impressive?”
Nazanin said it was easy to make a decision on her and her ex’s cats because it kind of happened “naturally” for them. Kayla seemed a little surprised by this, replying:
“That speaks to the relationship you guys still have. That means you guys are in a good, healthy, safe space to be able to make adult decisions.”
We’re sorry, is she implying Trav wasn’t able to make adult decisions?

The reporter has previously shared a lot about Travis — especially their pretty tumultuous breakup. In fact, she said they’re no longer on speaking terms. We can see how it would be super difficult to coparent their pets if they can’t even communicate with one another. It sounds like they probably made the best decision, considering the circumstances…
