Amanda Bynes is taking tons criticism for recent disturbing behavior, but several former child stars have come to her defense!!!
They claim being young and famous is waaay more difficult than most would imagine!
Gossip Girl star Kevin Zegers is the most recent to come to her rescue. He posted a monologue to Twitter yesterday basically blaming the general public for her bizarre behavior.
Kevin starred in Air Bud back when he was a tween — you remember, the one about the dog who was exceptionally good at sports — so he speaks from experience when he says life is rough RUFF for young actors!
He even claims the public roots for stars like Amanda, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan to fail!!!
In the tweet, he admitted:
“It’s a razor thin line between the top and the bottom. I don’t think anyone cares about the wattage of Bynes star. Or Lohan. Or Spears. What really interests people is the collapse. The free fall from adored to scorned. From beloved, to bat s**t crazy. From dimpled starry eyed kid, to shaven headed rambling manic. And people love it. They eat it up.”
Yikes! How can such a young, pretty dude be so skeptical of the world around him?!?
Most of us just sincerely want Amanda to get the help she needs!
We would LOVE to see her become a successful, respected actress again!
