Does Kim Kardashian Belong On The Cover Of A Magazine?

That’s the question New York Magazine poses on the cover of their fall fashion issue, which features Kim Kardashian on it.
The reality star was interviewed by Benjamin Wallace while visiting Kanye West in New York City, and delves further into the love/hate relationship fashion has with the reality star.
Wallace points out all of Kardashian’s forays into the fashion world, but “when it comes to high fashion she has been met with a cool shoulder”.
Why?
According to a fashion executive, Kim has ulterior motives for attending fashion shows:

“I think she sees fashion as another means for making money. I don├óΓé¼Γäót think she├óΓé¼Γäós ever going to want to go to a fashion show for her love of clothes. She├óΓé¼Γäós going to want to get paid for going to that show.”

The exec adds for Kim to gain acceptance into the fashion world she’d need to “quit all [her] other jobs”.
Ouch.
Of course, there were less scathing remarks in the article, but those all came from Kim.
The reality starlet actually believes her and Kanye’s love of fashion has brought them closer. She explains:

“If I have a design meeting, or he has one, we come back and talk about how our meetings went. It├óΓé¼Γäós cool, ├óΓé¼Γäócause you can definitely get more in-depth with someone who actually knows what you├óΓé¼Γäóre talking about ├óΓé¼┬ª So that├óΓé¼Γäós been a fun similarity we have. I think it├óΓé¼Γäós essential to have similarities. When this whole life is done, and it├óΓé¼Γäós just the two of us sitting somewhere when we├óΓé¼Γäóre 80, you want to have things to talk about that you have in common. I think that├óΓé¼Γäós something maybe I didn├óΓé¼Γäót value as highly as a quality I cared about in someone.├óΓé¼┬¥

As for personal goals, Kim doesn’t have any:

“I don├óΓé¼Γäót really have goals as far as, I want to be on a cover or something like that. I think my goals are more just expanding my line, and having my line be really successful. That├óΓé¼Γäós the ultimate goal, I think, for me. I don├óΓé¼Γäót say, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh, I want to be on this magazine or I want to do this.├óΓé¼Γäó It├óΓé¼Γäós all fun. And I love, definitely, turning into a different character. I think each shoot has a different personality.”
