Did Kim Kardashian cut ties with Foodgod? It’s the question fans want answers to! And they’re getting it straight from the horse’s mouth — Jonathan Cheban!
Perezcious readers know the pair have been so close for so long! Jonathan often appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and the spinoffs until it ended in 2021. They’ve even done a ton of bestie Halloween costumes over the years. However, things seemingly have changed between the two! That is what fans think, at least!

They can’t help but wonder if Kim and Jonathan are still best friends lately because the pals last stepped out together in December 2023 when they attended the grand opening of Fontainebleau in Las Vegas. The 52-year-old entrepreneur did attend Khloé Kardahsian‘s 40th birthday party last year, but that’s pretty much it! We haven’t seen Kim and Jonathan hanging out like they used to! So, that has made folks wonder: did they have a falling out? Just like Kim did with Larsa Pippen?!
According to Jonathan, NO! They are still friends despite all the speculation. He told Us Weekly during the grand opening of Planet Hollywood in New York City on Tuesday:
“People post me in things and people say that Kim and I aren’t friends anymore and it’s so funny to watch this stuff ’cause we are friends and we talk all the time. I see all these things that pop up and that’s how I know if I’m on [episodes of The Kardashians] or not.”
Jonathan noted he doesn’t keep up with the new show The Kardashians, but that doesn’t mean they’re not besties anymore. He made it clear to the outlet that they are “absolutely” pals and always will be! Okay, but does she agree??
Well, sadly, they just don’t see each other as often anymore. Huh.
Kim has four children, law school, businesses to run, and more. It also doesn’t help that the reality star lives in Los Angeles, while Jonathan noted he is in New York City and travels “all the time” (like Kim) between places like Italy, California, and more. They’re busy! Despite all that, though, Jonathan knows they will remain in each other’s lives “forever!” He said:
“We’re going to be friends forever — and it’s fun. I mean, she’s got so many kids and so many things to do and I’m all the way on this coast, so it’s like, yeah, we don’t see each other as much, but we talk all the time and anything happens that I feel like we should discuss, we just send it right away.”
We get it! Life can get hectic at times! You may not see your friends as much as you would like, but that doesn’t mean you stopped loving and caring for them or fallen out of touch. Fortunately, it sounds like Jonathan and Kim have found a way to keep their friendship going even though they are thousands of miles apart! Or at least he thinks so!
