Kim Kardashian is said to be “terrified” of ex-husband Kanye West — and that’s why she’s moving quickly to take “extreme measures” to protect the former couple’s four children to the best of her abilities.
That’s the chilling new report that dropped on Wednesday in The US Sun. That outlet cited sources who spoke about the SKIMS mogul’s ongoing concerns over her ex’s behavior and antics just days after he released an unsettling new single Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine — that featured incarcerated rapper Diddy‘s voice, along with Diddy’s son Christian Combs and Kim and Ye’s daughter North West. A collab with his 11-year-old daughter and a guy facing trial for sex trafficking. Yeah.
Kim did her best to stop the track from being released. Her efforts were unsuccessful, though, and now Kim is apparently concerned about what happens next.
Thus far, that action has been a thorough consideration about the possibility of fighting for full custody of 11-year-old North along with the former couple’s three other children: Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5. But as we’ve reported in recent days, Ye appears to be ready to fight that possible custody battle until the bitter end. Ugh.
So… what’s left to do? Well, per a source, it centers on Kim’s understandably flustered emotional state. Speaking anonymously abut the touch-and-go situation, the insider opened things by saying Kim is “terrified” of her ex and worried about “what he’s capable of doing.” Jeez.
The insider also keyed in on how North’s stubborn ways and loyalty to her beloved dad make the situation even more complex:
“She’s terrified of Kanye and what he’s capable of doing, especially when provoked, but she’s also dealing with a very stubborn and headstrong 11-year-old who takes after her dad and is adamant that no one gets to tell her what to do.”
The insider continued cryptically by relaying Kim’s fears that Ye might do something “so unforgivable” in the future:
“She’s always known Kanye would do something so big, so unforgivable, but I think Kim fears that she’s going to lose her daughter if she cuts Kanye off and bans him from seeing the kids.”
Oof…
Kim herself sounds pretty personally terrified of the Yeezy mogul, too, if this insider is to be believed:
“Kim lives in fear of Kanye, because she knows what he’s capable of — she’s never wanted to risk that but she is desperate to protect the kids from it all.”
Because of that, and the tension surrounding Ye that only ever seems to ratchet higher and higher, the source said it’s now time for “extreme measures” to be taken:
“But now she has to take extreme measures to protect her kids — they already have so much security around after Kanye’s ‘Nazi’ rants.”
Whoa. But what do those “extreme measures” entail, anyways??
Well, to that end, the insider was light on specifics. But they did reveal more about just how careful Kim has thus far been with following the law in every possible way when it comes to co-parenting and custody:
“Is it even safe for the kids to be around Kanye when he’s making himself a target? That’s what she’s got to think about. Behind the scenes, there’s been a lot building up to this point — Kim has played it carefully so far, everything is legally by the book, and they’ve taken such a cautious approach ensuring that Kanye has shared custody, so he’s never been able to lash out.”
And there might at least be one small but specific goal Kim could push for: never letting North (or the other kids) appear on stage with her dad or be featured on any more Diddy songs. The source explained:
“She wants to make sure they can’t appear on stage with him, that they can’t be featured on songs with Diddy — all of that. They barely ever appear on the TV show anymore.”
That may not be easy, though. As we know, Ye and Nori have had a really strong bond for her entire life. And especially since she really got into the realm of making music recently. The insider acknowledged that dynamic:
“North adores her father and they have a very close relationship. It’s like he sees North as his heir with the musical talent, the one with the creative genius — and he’s been telling her how special she is for years.”
And then the source summed up the precarious position in which North finds herself:
“Poor North is caught in the middle — she’s only 11. I think Kim’s just terrified that North will demand to go live with Kanye and that their relationship will crack apart under the pressure of all of this.”
Ugh.
Kim didn’t ask for all this. And North certainly didn’t ask for all this. She’s a little girl who loves her father — and clearly has always seen him in a different light than the general public. We can’t even imagine how torn the SKKN by Kim mogul is over that difficult dichotomy.
