Apparently that whole “let’s make an example of Lance Armstrong” thing isn’t really working out for the USADA.
One of Lance’s former teammates, South African cyclist David George, has tested positive for blood-boosting EPO. David raced alongside Lance on the US Postal Service team in 1999 and 2000.
He has been provisionally suspended and faces a doping tribunal. In other news, “Doping Tribunal” would be a great band name! LOLz!
The institute’s chief executive, Khalid Galant, said:
“His biological passport indicated suspicious activity and that triggered a targeted test for EPO.”
It’s pretty lame to put everything in jeopardy for a sport, you guys. It’s not like it’s being a biochemist or anything suuuuuper important!
Plus, the importance is directly based on how much you respect it anyway.
