Rosie O’Donnell might be Lena Dunham‘s biggest fan.
On Friday, Rosie took the opportunity to express her support for Lena, who she believes to be the “child” of Gloria Steinem, a huge feminist icon of the 1970s.

O’Donnell, who is a major feminist herself, gushed:
“It’s really hard for me, as a 53-year-old who was raised with the feminist movement and with Our Bodies, Ourselves, to see that there is no Gloria in the wings. Until God gave us Lena Dunham.”
