Kim Kardashian finally made her F1 WAG debut… So how did it go?!
As you know, Kimmy Kakes stepped out to Monte Carlo to support her beau Lewis Hamilton at the F1 Monaco Grand Prix. It ended up being an awesome weekend for him, he took home P2 and even excitedly told reporters that his lady being there to support him meant the world to him. How sweet!
But now that it’s all said and done, what is everyone’s true thoughts on how things went down?
If you didn’t watch the race, you might not have seen Kimberly getting friendly with Lewis’ teammate Charles Leclerc‘s wife Alexandra Leclerc. They were spotted hanging out and chatting a bit while their guys raced — which was super nice to see! But not all WAGs are on the same page, it seems…
According to a source for DailyMail.com, there’s def some jealousy afoot:
“There was a sense of jealousy when Kim arrived because the other ladies are used to pulling focus. However, she doesn’t let it bother her. She’s used to it and knows the value she is bringing to the game. She doesn’t really care if the other girls don’t like her, but some of their teams have reached out to arrange lunches. She’s open, but is focused on Lewis.”
The source continued:
“F1 is already a world filled with enormous wealth, big personalities and even bigger egos. Now that Kim is part of that scene and expected to be around more often, the reaction has been mixed.”

In fact, there’s already a familiar face on the grid! Scott Disick‘s ex Rebecca Donaldson is dating Williams Racing driver Carlos Sainz Jr. So there’s similar circles around… But allegedly not all of them are prepared to deal with someone like Kim and her level of fame:
“Some people couldn’t care less and are focused on their own circles, while others see value in being close to her because of the access and influence that can come with it.”
Along with some of the WAG chatter, Kim’s interaction with Sky Sports‘ Martin Brundle seemed to ruffle some F1 feathers, too. We previously reported on the interaction that’s now gone viral — a super awkward moment where Kim refuses an interview. That apparently didn’t bode well behind the scenes:
“Things shifted once word spread about her interaction – or lack of one – with Martin Brundle,’ the second insider continued. ‘Among many of the regulars in the F1 paddock, it was viewed as a pretty classless moment. The real question now is what happens the next time she’s at a race. There will definitely be more eyes on her, and some feel she’s become an unnecessary distraction at an event that, ideally, should be about the racing rather than the celebrity surrounding it.”
The insider added:
“And it’s also not a great look for Lewis by association.”
Ouch… But hey, Lewis doesn’t seem to care!
In fact, a source suggests that Kim is helping Lewis get some of his fame back. In recent years, he hasn’t been winning as much as he’s used to, but this new high-profile relationship might be just what he needs to get fans more interested again:
“Whether fair or not, people are talking about him for different reasons, and that level of visibility certainly doesn’t hurt. Lewis isn’t the dominant force on the track that he once was. Wins haven’t come as frequently in recent years. Because of that, some people aren’t necessarily questioning the relationship itself, but they are wondering what initially drew him to it. There’s a belief among some in his world that being linked to someone as famous as Kim puts him back at the center of the conversation in a way that extends beyond racing.”
Because of this, this insider says Lewis has ZERO problem with his lady coming in and stealing some attention! They claim:
“For years, Lewis commanded attention because of what he was accomplishing on the track. That’s why many believe he’d have no issue with Kim being around the F1 world as much as she wants. The spotlight follows her everywhere, and by extension, it keeps plenty of attention on him as well.”
