Liam Payne Wasn't Acting 'Strange Or Unusual' At Niall Horan Concert Days Before Death, Says Fan

Either things went downhill fast or this just goes to show you never know what someone is going through behind closed doors.

As Perezcious readers may know, about two weeks before his death, Liam Payne was in Argentina to see his old One Direction bandmate Niall Horan‘s concert. While at the venue, he interacted with a ton of fans — who had no clue the tragedy that would be unfolding just days later.

One of those fans, Noelia Veron, told People on Friday that she had a few interactions with the Teardrops singer before his death, and she wouldn’t have suspected anything was wrong. She explained:

“I ran into him by chance. I had found out on Twitter that he was here for Niall’s show. We took photos together. I waited for him to approach us, and we took pictures with all the fans. … He talked to us, hugged us and even made jokes.”

During Niall’s concert on October 2, “he was dancing, waving and cheering.” She continued:

“When Niall started singing one of the One Direction songs, everyone was looking at Liam. He seemed to be enjoying himself.”

Videos circulated showing him at the time jamming to the music and posing for pics with fans. He seemed to be having fun and enjoying all the attention — but then again, that can only tell you so much. So many mental health issues can go unnoticed…

That evening, he also went and caught up with his buddy backstage, posting happy photos of their reunion on Snapchat.

Aside from the show, Noelia recalled that the 31-year-old “took pictures with everyone” outside his hotel, noting that there was “nothing strange or unusual about his behavior” and he “was always open to it, full of love.” Liam even took the time to meet with fans just hours before his death. Shows how strong he cared for his supporters!

After Niall’s concert, Liam and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy were staying together until she left the vacation on October 12. Liam then moved into a new hotel by himself, but he was reportedly “kicked out,” according to other People sources on Friday. One source claimed he was forced to leave “because he was being a nuisance and disturbing the other guests and appeared intoxicated.”

Sadly, this kind of behavior continued when he got to the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, where he ultimately died after acting erratically while allegedly intoxicated. Ultimately, he jumped from his fourth-story balcony and died on Wednesday, but it’s still unclear if the fall was accidental or not. It’s so heartbreaking to see how things seemingly changed so fast.
