We guess Lindsay Lohan really REALLY identifies with the iconic Elizabeth Taylor, so much so that she would have reportedly taken the Liz and Dick role pro-bono!
Apparently, producers didn’t even want Lilo involved — a decision Executive Producer Larry Thompson seems to be regretting! — but girl used her skill of persuasion to secure the part, and even offered to do it fo’ free.
Linds recently expressed:
“I didn’t get the project at first. I started calling and harassing agents… because I felt people were hesitant [to cast me], which I understood. I actually said, ‘I’ll just do it for free’. My agent was like, ‘No, no, no, don’t say that’.”
Well WE are thrilled that the people behind Liz and Dick settled on Lindsay! We can’t imagine any other starlet who would create SO much hype over a Lifetime film!
Annnnnd we just can’t wait to see Lindz as a belligerent, troubled mess smashing liquor bottles against the wall… hey, it’s all part of Liz Taylor’s epic story!
We wonder if the red head drew from real life experience?!
