Lindsay Lohan is getting real abstract about the concept of a “party.”
Now thousands of miles away in Dubai, the actress is still trying to outrun the party girl persona she assumed while living in El Lay throughout her teens and early ‘20s.

While LiLo has moved on from that part of her life, she says the rest of us haven’t gotten over it just yet. And it’s so frustrating, the 31-year-old says the mere word “party” haunts her to this day!
In her new Emirates Woman cover story, Lindsay asks of the term “party”:
“What does that even mean? I get so uncomfortable with that word, ├óΓé¼╦£party.’ People are still stuck in the past, of the stories I had in L.A. and I hate it. It was all lies.”
All lies!?
That iconic photo of Lindsay in a car with Paris Hilton and Britney Spears was the realest thing we’ve ever known and she CAN’T TAKE THAT AWAY FROM US!
Phew. *Collects ourselves*
Anyway, the Lawyer.com spokesperson told the mag that even though she “never” goes to clubs anymore, she decided to open her own club in Greece as a way of owning the public’s perception of her. She explained:
“I thought what’s the one thing that people have most misconstrued about me? It was probably about me always going to clubs, and so I was just like, ├óΓé¼╦£well, I’ll make my own’. And now I never go to clubs!”

But even though she now lives a private life in Dubai, the actress still can’t escape hearing gossip about herself from back home:
“People say things that don’t even happen. They just make things up. Someone emailed me yesterday from America, saying, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh, I heard you got married in Dubai.’ I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£News to me, who’s the lucky guy?'”
LiLo’s so bent on maintaining her privacy, she admits it makes her look paranoid at times:
“It can come across as a bit manic. When I’m looking around, it makes me look really distracted, but I’m just really protective about [my privacy].”
Do what you gotta do, girl!
