Lizzo Issues Apology After Falsely Accusing Postmates Driver Of Stealing Her Food!

Lizzo calls out Postmates driver.

Never tweet on an empty stomach!

Lizzo issued an apology to a Postmates driver she publicly accused of food theft after the driver made it clear that was not the case.

Last week, the Juice singer put Tiffany W. on blast by claiming to her almost one million Twitter followers the delivery driver “stole [her] food.” The tweet (below) came complete with a screenshot of Tiffany’s profile photo:

Tiffany spoke to TMZ about the incident, and she said the days since then have been the worst of her life. Not only is she humiliated and afraid to go to work out of fear someone might harm her, she says Lizzo’s accusation is completely false.

Apparently, the performer’s food was supposed to go to a Boston hotel, but there was no room number listed on the order. On top of that, no one reportedly answered the phone call linked to the account.

Tiffany said she did all she could to get the customer her order: she hit up the hotel concierge, then went into the lobby to try to contact the customer and heard nothing back.

After waiting for a total of 10 minutes, she decided to leave. As for the food theft claims, Tiffany says the order was seafood, which she doesn’t even eat.

A spokesperson for the company said Tiff followed the rules. She waited at least the required 5 minutes and wasn’t able to reach the customer, so she moved on like she was supposed to.

The rep added:

“As soon as Lizzo reached out, we looked into the matter and quickly resolved the issue. We apologize to Lizzo for any inconvenience.”

The Hustlers actress apologized as well. She deleted her original tweet calling out Tiffany and said she won’t call out her Postmates drivers ever again, tweeting:

Tip your Postmates drivers, Perezcious readers! They go through a lot!

This isn’t the only controversy Lizzo’s had to deal with as of late. Earlier this month, we reported Mina Lioness accused the 31-year-old of allegedly swiping the line from her song Truth Hurts — you know, when Lizzo sings “I just took a DNA test, turns out I’m 100% that bitch” — from the UK artist’s work!

Mina said:

“What I cannot get over is how brazen Lizzo and her team have been in ignoring my whole presence. They’re doing it because they know I have no capital to address her. Now everyone believes those were your words, when in fact they were mine. My creativity, my wit and my comedy.”

We’ll see if Lizzo owns up to these claims like she did with the Postmates snafu.
