These days, Lori Loughlin is focusing on one thing and one thing only!
As the Fuller House star and husband Mossimo Giannulli await their fates in the college admissions bribery scandal, the 55-year-old actress is said to be putting all her time and energy into the case.
A legal source told People:
“Lori is obsessing over every detail of the case. She’s not working, she’s not doing anything. She’s just reading the files again and again.”
We guess Aunt Becky always was that “if you want something done right, do it yourself” kind of woman!
According to the insider, the family has gotten so caught up in the scandal — and the media carnival it has become — their legal counsel actually advised them to take a step back from it all.

The source added:
“The family was told to remove their Google alerts and to stop searching their names because it’s not good for them to see what’s being said. But this is a full-time concern of hers.”
Well… it should be!
As you likely know, the couple stand accused of paying $500,000 to admissions consultant William “Rick” Singer to falsely designate daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose as recruits to USC’s crew team, despite neither having actually played the sport.
Fourteen defendants in the nationwide scandal, including actress Felicity Huffman, agreed to plead guilty in April. However, Loughlin and Giannulli declined the deal because they weren’t ready to accept the idea of jail time.

Of course, that was back then. Now, the sitcom star is said to be ready and willing to plead guilty — but only if, per a separate source, her lawyer can “negotiate a plea deal that would involve no jail time, but home confinement with monitoring via ankle monitor.”
As we reported Wednesday, Lori is apparently “willing to pay a substantial fine, over $2 million” to avoid being sentenced to jail. So, yes, she’s basically trying to bribe her way out of this bribery fallout. Maybe it’ll work this time?
The couple are due back in court on August 27, where they’re expected to waive their rights to separate attorneys, as they are both represented by attorneys from the same law firm.
As you might imagine, Lori is remaining in “constant communication” with her legal team and is keeping “meticulous records” on everything — including the other defendants and their plea deals. The first source added:
“She wants to know who is getting what punishment and how their cases differ from hers.”
Sounds like Lori’s really on the case. We’ll see if all her hard work pays off soon enough!
