Someway, somehow, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are trying to work through the aftermath of the college admissions scandal, even with a major legal battle looming over their head.
The couple is hard at work “attempting to maintain normalcy” for the benefit of their family and two college-age daughters — but creeping up behind them is that inevitable, high-profile trial!

According to a source who spoke to People about the couple’s mindset and preparation ahead of the suit, it sounds like Lori and Mossimo are struggling to go along with the court system’s notoriously slow pace (below):
“They are celebrating Father’s Day as a family, trying to keep things normal. It’s just a strange situation when you are used to working, and all you do instead is focus on court dates and your legal defense. It’s not the happiest situation.”
Not the happiest situation, indeed… in fact, that may be the understatement of the year!
That sentiment tracks with earlier reporting about the pair, too; last week, a separate source revealed that Lori and Mossimo simply haven’t been prepared for how long and drawn out the criminal justice system can be (below):
“People who are not in the legal field often don’t understand how long these things take. Lori and Mossimo are seeing firsthand that court cases move slowly. They’re having to come to terms with the fact that this isn’t going away anytime soon. This will be over their heads all summer long, and it could still be pending during the holidays. At this point, they have to get used to the new normal.”
Yikes!!!
Back to the present, though… at least it sounds like home life has somewhat calmed down for Lori’s daughters, including high-profile YouTube sensation Olivia Jade, who seemed to take the brunt of the backlash right when the admissions scandal first broke.
The source revealed to the entertainment mag Lori is doing better, all things considered (below):
“Lori seems okay. She is a very positive person. Her life doesn’t seem as chaotic as when the college scandal first broke. [The couple’s daughters] are doing well too. They are spending the summer with friends and trying to enjoy it.”
Hmmm… try to say it any you want, but this will definitely be a difficult summer to enjoy! Just sayin’!!!
Anyways, it appears that Loughlin and Giannuli’s next court date isn’t until October 2, so if Lori thought the legal wait was long already… well, here’s another couple months to stew and fret over your chosen defense!
Less than ideal, y’all!!!
