Lori Loughlin's Friends 'Don't Like' Husband Mossimo Giannulli -- & Think HE 'Concocted' The Bribery Scandal?

Lori Loughlin's friends don't like her husband Mossimo Gianulli

The world was shocked when the seemingly wholesome Lori Loughlin was accused of participating in a massive college bribery scheme earlier this year.
Those close to the actress are just as surprised she could be involved in something so immoral (and illegal) — some are so surprised, they’re apparently refusing to believe that she was the one behind it!
According to an Us Weekly source, these friends believe her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, was the one who somehow “concocted” their alleged participation in the scheme.

Explaining that some of the Fuller House star’s pals are now pointing fingers at her fashion designer husband amid the scandal, the insider dished:

“Everyone feels bad for her. They think the situation was something concocted by her husband.”

But we wouldn’t consider these friends to have totally unbiased opinions on the matter, as the source added that Lori’s “friends don’t like [Mossimo].”
So, maybe take this source’s scoop with a grain of salt…
Especially considering how others have claimed that the 54-year-old starlet was the one obsessed with the idea of Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose going to USC.

Based on what we’ve heard from other insiders, the mother-of-two was “fixated” on getting her daughters admitted into the prestigious university and was willing to make her vision a reality by any means necessary. The source told People at the time:

“Lori is used to getting what she wants. This is why she got in trouble in the first place. She got fixated on getting her girls into USC… For her, there was no other way. They needed to be at USC. It was very important for her to be able to say that her girls were at USC.”

Well, that’s… objectively different than what the Us source implied.
A separate People source claimed that Lori’s USC “obsession” stemmed from her trying to compete with the parents in her social circle who had gotten their kids admitted into top-notch schools. This insider said:

“For most people that they socialize with, schools are very important. It’s very much a status thing… Parents brag about their children’s schools all the time. So many of the schools are almost impossible to get into.”

Despite which of them brought on the situation, both parents are currently facing up to 40 years in prison.
As we reported, the actress and the Mossimo founder pleaded not guilty on Monday to the charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and money laundering.
