Macy's Vs. Martha Stewart: JCPenney Is Cheap!

Things are already starting to get nasty in the breach of contract lawsuit between Martha Stewart and Macy’s.
In the semi-confidential court docs, the department store claims Stewart’s new deal with JCPenney “has severely damaged the ├óΓé¼╦£crucial connection├óΓé¼Γäó between Macy├óΓé¼Γäós and Martha Stewart” and “has destroyed the public perception that Macy├óΓé¼Γäós is the only place a consumer can turn to to purchase Martha Stewart home products in key categories”.
Macy’s then deals a low blow by calling JCPenney “a less upscale retailer” and by selling Martha Stewart products other lines of business will suffer as well.
Ouch.
