Madonna is serious about making sure girls around the world get educated!
Her Madgesty auctioned off one of her prized paintings at Sotheby’s on Tuesday, and gave every penny to charity! And that was A LOT of pennies!
The painting- French artist Fernand Leger‘s Trois Femmes a la Table Rouge– sold for a whopping $7.16 MILLION! Sacre bleu! Madonna said:
“I want to trade something valuable for something invaluable – Educating Girls!”
Way to go, gurl! Maybe just a few of the thousand girls getting educated will end up as painters making MORE good art for the world!
