Mama June Shannon is seriously looking worse for the wear — and boyfriend Geno Doak ain’t doin’ so good, either.
The embattled (former) reality TV couple was spotted once again on Saturday, checking out of the Atlanta airport-area Hyatt Hotel in College Park, Georgia, about nine miles outside the booming big city. A local fan apparently recognized them, and came over to chat up the couple, according to TMZ — there were pictures snapped, too, as you can see, and it looks like it’s been a very long and, ummm, difficult road trip for these two over the past couple months.

If it feels like this is a near repeat of a story we did last week, well, that’s because it kind of is. Just a few days ago, we reported another relatively haggard sighting of the embattled couple outside a gas station down near McDonough, Georgia — much closer to their former home — with Mama June pullin’ out a fat wad of cash from an ATM on the premises.
Word has it the couple — who had been near ATL for “about four days” — were headed back down to south Georgia to see if they could find a new place to stay. Talk about a seriously itinerant lifestyle; TMZ had ’em up a casino in western North Carolina on Black Friday, walking the grounds and apparently playing some slots with alcoholic beverages in hand. Evidently that’s one way to spend the holidays, ya know?!
The good news here, if there is any, is that Mama June and Geno apparently still have enough cash on hand to be paying for these hotels. It’s an expensive lifestyle, for sure — and an uncertain one, too — but it’s clear they’ve been ponying up the dough to live room to room for months on end now.
On the flip side, though, it just doesn’t appear June is making any kind of progress towards one day seeing her family again, and reconciling with Pumpkin, Honey Boo Boo, and all the rest that made her life (and that reality TV empire!) so special for such a long time. The family appears to be persisting on without her, but still… this is less than ideal for pretty much everyone involved.

Ugh. It’s frustrating and maddening to watch Mama June throw it all away like this, aimlessly wandering town to town in south Georgia — like, girl, get it together! But there’s also a lot of empathy here — for her, for Honey Boo Boo, for everybody involved — because there are clearly larger issues at play right now.
